~ Evaluation

Level 1 Assessment:
To assess student reaction to the training use the Level 1 Assessment found in Appendix F.  This eight question Likert scale survey is used to rate the participant’s opinions about the session.  To be given immediately after the training ends (Kirkpatrick, 1959) to get the freshest most accurate data (Hodell, 2011).  This critical period of time, from the end of the training session to obtaining the participant’s unadulterated reaction, assures that the data collected isn’t tainted with opinions (Hodell, 2011). These questions ascertain how the students felt about the instruction as well as if they considered the content relevant an applicable to their education (Cowan, Goldman & Hook, 2010).
Level 2 Assessment:
Students will self-assess their knowledge of the training program.  This evaluation is tied directly to the objectives (Hodell, 2011).  On a Likert scale students will rate their abilities to create a post and page; edit a post or page; and upload images on posts and pages.  This Level 2 Assessment is found in Appendix G and is to be given immediately after the Level 1 Assessment.
Level 3 Assessment:
Assessing the student’s application of the new material will be done by reviewing their blogs throughout the semester.  It is a way for me to see that each student is putting to use the skills and knowledge learned from the training.  Appendix H contains the assessment form to be used bi-monthly to track student application and progress.
